In October we’re embarking on reading a new text together: Shigehisa Kuriyama’s The Expressiveness of the Body and the Divergence of Greek and Chinese Medicine.
If one way of conceptualizing reading is following threads wherever they lead, one of my current threads leads me from poetics, prosody, literature, reading, and writing to the discursive space of health, healing, illness, disability, diagnosis, and (I hope) to the body, and bodies together, as a site of resistance.
Books November and onward will be decided collectively with participants.
